2013 Production In Progress

It's only right to start this post off apologizing for the fact that we haven't posted much to start the year off.  That is because we have been extra busy playing catch up & gearing up some big moves for 2013.  Stay tuned, we will keep the blog updated from here on out, you have our word.  We have started production on all of our new samples all the way through the end of the year, we have some pretty ill gems releasing this year.  Check out some "Behind the Scenes" & preview below:

Last week we stopped by to get tailored up for our FW 13 Handmade Varsity Jackets, this has to be the one piece i look forward to the most.

It's always been a dream to make a varsity for the brand, i know that sounds like an easy task but we wanted to produce something of superior quality.  A piece that is timeless, a quality jacket that will last you 10 years.  We chose to go with a tailored handmade genuine leather, heavyweight wool combination, with a clean satin lining.

When I say handmade, I mean this jacket is built from head to toe in America by hand.  Tul gave us a lil free hand sample of his handmade chain stitching for the camera.  These machines are Rare, Very Rare... They have been using these to make genuine patches since the 1940's.

It's one thing to be hyped to meet someone who is willing to bring your dream product to life, but its even better to meet someone who is just as hyped to actually do it.  Tommy & Tul definitely took a look at our blueprint and were hyped to bring this jacket to life.

Back on our side of town, some SS Product samples were getting printed up, check the detail on this piece. 

The Faith Tee is amazing, just can't give you too much of it yet.

The Scenes Behind.

Now that the Thanksgiving & Black Friday crazed has died down, we can recap our lookbook and give thanks to all the people that were involved with our Fall/Winter lookbook.

This Mike, by the looks of all his proofs for the lookbook you could have sworn he's a natural model, but this was his first time.  Don't be fooled tho, if you go follow him on Instagram (@skinnygirlpapi) his title says he's a professional Instagram model.  "Selfies" ALL DAY!





This is the beautiful Danielle Jocelyn, she's been representing our brand for quite awhile now.  She looks familiar you say? Thats probably because her modeling career has taken off this year or maybe you've seen her cameo's/features in a couple major music videos such as Pac Div's "Posted", & Frank Ocean's "Pyramids".  Follow her on Instagram (@DanniiLyn).



Justin Hudson better known as "Jhud" is an IE Native that has started a new movement called #1LoveIE - "Together as 1 we create peace , love and unity for every community around the world starting from the IE" . He's constantly on the move making moves and is a young cavilier which is VERY RARE to see these days. (@infamousjhudson)




Gabe shot the "behind the scenes" footage we edited at the top of this post, he is part of our extended fam. He also just launched his contemporary garment line entitled, Masinas LA.

Anf & I go back... way back, we came up skating together around the same skate crews.  I would have never thought we'd end up in the same industry outside of that.  He works with Quiet Life & is part of the infamous Bent Life Crew. This dude is the epitome of "Hesh," so when you catch a flick of him wearing some coke white Air Force 1's, just know it's rare. He's also quite the ladies' man on instagram, check him out (@QuietlifeAnf)

Snaps | Long Live A$AP Tour | Observatory

It's always good to support our boys from ASAP, they have progressed an extraordinary amount since the first project I did with them. The sold out show at the Observatory in Santa Ana was nothing short of amazing, with a set list with Danny Brown, Schoolboy Q, A$AP Rocky & the mob, what would you expect?  I'll put some footage up tonight but for now, enjoy some photos below (Look closely you might see some previews of our Fall/Winter Release):

DYNT Spring Lookbook Shoot | Behind the Scenes

We were blessed to have not 1, but 2 "Behind the Scenes" Videos for our Lookbook Shoot this past weekend. What makes it even better is, I didn't even have to edit it! We decided to do things a lil different & shoot our lookbook in a closed studio, & focus more on the product & individual style. I guess that worked out perfectly considering the rare California downpour that hit Sunday Afternoon. The Lookbook was shot by your's truly which made it a little difficult to shoot a behind the scenes video. The video above was done by Demetrius, he hit us up this past week with his portfolio & what was most impressive is the kid is still in High School. You will catch some more videos from him from time to time with DYNT.

This video above was done by our boy AC, if you follow us, you may remember him as a intern from last summer. The kid is definitely dedicated, he has returned this year to make even bigger moves with us. He is learning film, & for his 5th video, this came out pretty good.

We would like to thank our models, Justine, Erika, Rob, Twan, Gee, Kam, & Dilla for the great times & work that they put in to help us get this lookbook together.
