Ty Evans- In the Field

I always looked up to Ty Evans coming up as a young skateboarder ambitious to shoot videos of me and my friends freshly learned tricks. Skateboarding was my base to film & photo including the whole skate culture. Ty has always played a major role in the influence of skateboard films. He will always be one of my biggest inspirations in film. Check out this video above and listen to his views.

San Diego!

We ventured out to downtown San Diego this past Friday to Sportie LA to show support for the relaunch event for The-Blurbs & Dynasty Images. DYNT along with Dearly Departed, 5&A Dime, Pistol Etiquette, UN|STEADY, Overload Skateshop, AFG, Product Etc, 9 Five Eyewear, Rich and Rude, Cafe y Negro, California Money were in attendance to sponsor the event. Along with performances by Brother Nature, Ta’East, Makeshift, and P.C.H. Big Shoutout to Dauche & Ashley for hosting a great positive event! We went down early and got a chance to hang out in the streets of downtown SD, we ended up making a lot of new friends. Enjoy some pictures below:

We ended up meeting Jay, Owner of 5 & A Dime. He is a DJ as well, he invited us to his club, and we got to listen to him spin briefly before we made the journey back.

Last week we put together a last minute party for Jeff's Promotion at the shop. He was originally from our Street Team & worked his way up the ranks to our Promotion Manager. But it's not that easy to get your stripes, he had to let some of his hair go for his initiation. Welcome to the team Jeff!

D.B.D.C. Lifestyle | A Week's Recap

This week has been super busy over here at Headquarters, causing a slight pause on the blog posts. But hey we are back on track! I decided to throw a couple days together in one to just recap the week. Some of the footage includes our lunch with our good friends The Masses, then a LA trip to pick up some inventory. We also have been upgrading the shop with the downtime since we completely sold out except for a few choice XL's. Restocking with new product this week, along with a couple of special pieces. We are all about support & family when it comes to the brands, our friends over at The Masses aka THEM has accomplished their goal of hitting ’150k’ on the Alexa Web Ranking. So they decided to celebrate & get MACA drunk for the first time. We came out and had a blast with these dudes, check out the pics & video below.

2010 Recap..

What a great year it has been, enjoy some random never before seen clips of our previous year. We lost a hard drive which consisted of a lot of the early part of the year which was a heartbreaking moment. But we managed to round up the remainder of the year, Welcome to 2011 everyone!

The Highlight of 2010

I can definitely say that this year has been quite an amazing journey for the DYNT team. We thought after a 5 month hiatus during our rebrand that nothing could top our 2010 highlight reel until a local supporter walked into the shop with something that blew us away. He told us he was recently introduced to our brand and respected the positivity and meaning behind our brand that he went and got the logo permanently inked on his body. Travis always said "we aren't official until someone wants to tattoo our logo". Well, I guess that means we have to stick around for life so his tattoo has meaning, no problem! We laced him a package and told him that he's a honorary member of the D.B.D.C. for life. Thanks for the support Josh & thank you to everyone else who supports us and our movement.
