3.26.14 | NIKE AIR MAX DAY

“March 26, 1987, marked the release of the Air Max 1 and with it, a revolution began. In the form of a literal window to the sole, the invisible became visible and Nike Air cushioning forever changed how Nike designed running sneakers. Twenty-seven years have passed, visibility has increased, the legend has grown, and the time to celebrate has arrived. 3.26, the day that started it all, marks the celebration of an experiment turned icon. To kickstart the festivities, a limited edition Air Max 1 will be released to usher in a new tradition.” - NIKE

About 5 weeks ago, Nike Sportswear sent me an email along with a couple other friends stating that Air Max Day was among us & I was chosen to design my very own 1 of 1 Airmax for International Nike Air Max Day.  Of course getting emails alone from Nike was a dream come true but to be able to design a shoe from Nike as a gift was nothing short of a blessing.  The shoe came in yesterday, just in time for Air Max Day along with an invite to the Private Event with UNDFTD.

Of course the process takes a couple weeks to develop a special design with the lowest of minimums in the color, one pair.  My deadline to come up with my perfect Air Max 90 was a mere 48 hours.  This is what I came up with, A Solar Nike Air Max 90 with Hyperfuse technology, black swoosh/ accent details, & an translucent "glow in the dark" sole.

I was more than pleased seeing my digital masterpiece come to a reality as I opened the box.  The best part is the "DYNT" on the back.  Today is 3.26 make sure you hit the streets in your favorite pair of Air Max.  Thank you Alero & Rachel for making 3.26 historic in my books....

Goodbye 2013 | Happy New Year From DYNT

2013 has come to an end, & it was a great year for the brand.  We want to thank everyone who was apart of our success… As we say goodbye to 2013 & hello to another promising year.

Gilbere has been dropping some amazing tracks on his journey to the release of his highly anticipated project entitled "PRAY".  Knowing G, the visuals for some of these tracks are gonna be crazy! Pray releases 5.15.13 stay tuned!

Life & Times.

Looking back about 2-3 years ago, when we were talking about some of the experiences & lifestyles we wanted to live, we can't help but be thankful for the progression & growth of the brand.  We still have a long way to go and still make minor mistakes that we learn from, but we have had some pretty ill experiences & met a plethora of amazing people along this journey.  If you are still tuning into our blog or even if this is your first time on it, we thank you.  We will keep it updated more now...

This past week we stopped into Jimmy Gorecki's Lookbook Shoot for his newly released 'Jimmy Sweatpants" line.  You may remember him from the legendary Ice Cream Skate Team Video a couple years back, or you may have seen him around skating in some Military IVs. Make sure you check out his line, the quality & functionality is superb.

The "Not For Sale" Tee caused quite a stirrup, the reality behind this tee if you didn't already know, it's photoshop.  It was a fun parody we did to give away as gifts to a choice few, we have had multiple offers to buy or "donate" but respectfully declined.  The real brains is Terry Richardson, it's his photo (as if you didn't know that either)... He's a legend & one of our favorite photographers, don't praise us, praise him.... Not for Sale.

Fun Fact: When Weezie & I first met, he didn't like me.  It happens with a lot of people, never judge a book by cover people.  Now we have been running this brand together for 2 & a half years and have some amazing projects coming up.

The Red "You Don't Know Shit" Coaches Jackets come out in a week or so.  We fixed the size issue, these ones fir true to size...

Snaps | 2 Year Anniversary Recap

After two solid years in business, we couldn't have expected anything more than the support and love that was shown last Saturday.  The event was local to kick off a series of Pop Up's & our future move.  We have grown and expanded so much in the past year it has been crazy, but we still have a lot to work on & perfect.  Below you can see our Two Year Anniversary Tee, we incorporated the cities of new retailers & places where DYNT now has a major presence.
